BCU Foundation sponsors UCC Ontario “Ukrainian Trillium Award” for Leadership and Volunteerism

BCU Financial & BCU Foundation – Фундація Будучність are proud to partner with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Ontario Provincial Council as the Platinum Sponsor of the newly established “Ukrainian Trillium Award” for Leadership and Volunteerism. BCU Financial & BCU Foundation are providing a combined sponsorship of $15,000 to support this initiative which recognizes the dedication and hard work of our community leaders and volunteers.
The new Ukrainian Trillium Award will be awarded to a member of a Ukrainian organization over the age of 25 who serves the Ukrainian-Canadian community in Ontario as a volunteer and has dedicated their time to the growth and improvement of the Ukrainian community in educational, cultural, spiritual, and social ways. Candidates for the Ukrainian Trillium Award will be nominated by their peers and chosen by a committee that will award 3 awards annually. More information will be available soon.
The $15,000 sponsorship was presented to UCC Ontario Provincial Council President, Taras Bahriy, by the Chair of the BCU Financial Board of Directors, Andriy Tarapacky, BCU Financial President and CEO, Oksana Prociuk-Ciz, and Chair of the BCU Foundation Board of Directors, Roman Medyk. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress Ontario Provincial Council works unites the municipal chapters of the UCC to build spirit and cooperation, and recognize the potential of Ukrainian-Canadians in business, government, education, the arts, religious and spiritual life, and to keep our language and culture alive in our Canadian multicultural mosaic.
