Supporting the Sound of Ukrainian Heritage: A Donation to the Canadian Bandurist Capella

BCU Foundation is proud to continue its commitment to supporting Ukrainian culture and heritage. On November 1st, 2024, the Chair of the BCU Foundation’s board Bohdan Leshchyshen met with a member of the Canadian Bandurist Capella Bohdan Figol to present a donation from the BCU Foundation aimed at fostering the Capella’s mission.

The Canadian Bandurist Capella, established in 2001 in Toronto, strives to preserve and celebrate Ukrainian language, history, and culture through the power of music. They are dedicated to exploring and advancing choral-bandura music, paying homage to the bandura’s rich historical roots. By presenting traditional Ukrainian music in modern, vibrant arrangements, the Capella offers a unique musical experience that resonates within the Ukrainian-Canadian community and beyond, promoting a deeper appreciation of Ukrainian music and the bandura.
