BCU Foundation’s 12th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025!
This year, once again due to the ongoing full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces, BCU Foundation will be donating the proceeds of the
2025 BCU Foundation Golf Tournament towards Humanitarian Aid and Rehabilitation Programs for injured soldiers and civilians affected by the war in Ukraine.
Thank you to everyone for supporting this important initiative to help those fighting for their freedom and sovereignty.
Over the past fourteen years, our annual golf tournaments have been a resounding success, thanks to your unwavering support. We have collectively raised over $160,000, with proceeds supporting the creation of the Hallmark of Excellence Fund at BCU Foundation. This fund champions athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and fair play in the spirit of friendship. It supports not-for-profit organizations that use sports to strengthen Ukrainian identity in Canada and globally. The fund also supports Ukrainian-Canadian athletes pursuing their dreams at both national and international levels.
BCU Foundation proudly supports various causes, events, and athletes through the Hallmark of Excellence Fund. We thank you for your support of BCU Foundation and for your financial contribution toward the Hallmark of Excellence Fund through our annual Golf Tournament fundraiser. Your continued support ensures that BCU Foundation can provide a lasting legacy in our community.
In previous years, we have extended our support to athletes and charitable endeavors, including donations to the Humboldt Strong Community Foundation and the St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation. However, since the devastating invasion of Ukraine in 2022, our focus has shifted significantly.
Since 2023, we have dedicated the entirety of the proceeds from our tournaments, totaling $43,000, towards Humanitarian Aid and Rehabilitation Programs for injured soldiers and affected civilians in Ukraine. This year, as we did in 2017, we again had the opportunity to support Team Ukraine’s participation in the Invictus Games. We recognize the incredible strength and resilience of these athletes, and are proud that we could support them showcase their talents on the world stage. We will once again “Stand With Ukraine!” All proceeds from the BCU Foundation Golf Tournament will go towards Humanitarian Aid and Rehabilitation Programs in Ukraine.
